Riot Games: League of Legends Esports
League of Legends was still finding its footing in Southeast Asia. New to the Riot team, I was tasked with creating a sizzle piece that captured the full scope of what it was: the fans, the players, the wins and losses, the international scale of an esport unlike anything that came before it.
The goal was to show people a video game that sold out arenas and brought the kind of electricity most people only expected from a major sporting event. This was proof that gaming had arrived on a global stage.
