A 30-second hybrid commercial for LEGO's global DUPLO line, one of the more technically complex productions I've done, and one of the most rewarding.
The shoot happened across two countries. Day one was Singapore, directing toddlers and their actor-parents on set with real LEGO toys. Day two was Australia, directed entirely remotely, finding and working a real garden location that fit our needs where the animated characters would eventually live.
Before post even began, I developed individual character backgrounds for each LEGO veggie. Personality, emotional range, behavioral tendencies. It started as a directing tool but became the reference document the animation team used to shape expressions and sound throughout post.
